I just spoke to my wife, Anne, who is over in Switzerland visiting with her family.
Ironically, they are about 30 min away from Heidiland (Walenstadt).
Before the trip, she asked permission to meet the delegation at their hotel for dinner and dessert.
She said all the kids look great and seem to be handling things well. They were very well behaved in the hotel's restaurant. She ordered pizza for everyone, which was a received with sheer exuberance over what was served. She has photos, but may not be able to get them to the internet soon.
She mentioned that it was Jade's birthday, so the delegation sang Happy Birthday and had a cake.

Joe said the dinner was not too bad, and that it was called meatloaf but tasted more like sausage. He said they all REALLY appreciated the pizza though.
I am sure Sebastian appreciated the pizza! Have any of the kids mentioned the weather?
Joe told me it was rainy the first day but nice after that. Must not be too hot or cool or he would have mentioned I think.
Weather for that part of Switzerland has been normal for summer. Sunny and warm (if not hot). The weather changes quickly due to the altitude and mountains.
I spoke to JC tonight who was thrilled to have the pizza (a food he could recognize). He did say it was cold but they are all having a great time.
I spoke with Zachary Monday night as well. He didn't mention the pizza, but is enjoying the different foods. He said the kids from the other delegation are really nice as well.
